The meeting began by analyzing what was discussed at the end of the previous class and adding some verses that challenge the traditional interpretation or reading, which holds that Moses is the author of the Torah.
Then certain duplications were observed, that is, certain accounts that appear twice, with small discrepancies but basically narrating the same thing. In these duplications, the name of God is manifested in different ways.
Finally, the class paused to discuss the story of the golden calf and compared it with a later story, looking for the link between the two, where King Jeroboam, the first king of the kingdom of Israel, inaugurates the temples of Bethel and Dan.
We invite you to participate in the last class of this mini-course next Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 7:00 pm.
