Last Thursday, June 24, 2021, Rabbi Gustavo gave the third class of the mini-course Introduction to the Torah.
In this opportunity, we analyzed some passages that raise questions and challenges to the traditional interpretation. For this purpose, the three passages of the Torah where the patriarchs present their wives as sisters before the local authorities were compared. Likewise, the last verses of the Torah describing the death of Moses and the problematic that would imply that he had been its author were also examined in detail.
Finally, separated into small groups, some biblical verses that also raise questions and difficulties regarding the authority of Moses in the Torah text were analyzed.
