As every week, the congregation met virtually last Thursday, April 15, 2021, to participate in a new edition of the film forum. On this occasion we talked about the film Crossing Delancey.
Synopsis:
Isabelle Grossman (Amy Irving), a 33-year-old New Yorker, is an attractive, intelligent woman who loves independence above all else. She has a good job in a bookstore and lives in a nice apartment. She often visits her grandmother, Bubbie, who fervently wants Isabelle to meet a man. Bubbie enlists the help of Hannah Mandelbaum, an old matchmaker, to find the perfect man for her granddaughter: the solution seems to be Sam Posner (Peter Riegert), owner of a pickle store.
Next week’s film forum will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, and will be about the film The Attack.
