Next Monday 15th, the young Galit Adell, daughter of Gabriel and Judith Pinzón, will be called to the Torah for the first time, thus assuming her adult status within the Jewish people.
We share some of Galit’s reflections on the Torah reading and his Bat Mitzvah ceremony:
The parashah Vayishlach tells the story of the meeting after 20 years between Yaakov and Esav, after Yaakov had fled from his brother Esav, who swore revenge because he considered that Yaakov stole his paternal blessing of being the firstborn. Both brothers are not in a situation of violence but in peace. They embrace and then go their separate ways.
Here we see the value of brotherhood, despite everything that may happen in our lives as individuals, family ties are strong and no matter how long we may have been separated, we will always be family and we will always love and respect each other.
Thanks to God and the family I have I can say at my young age that I do not lack anything, I have my parents and siblings who adore and protect me; with whom I have spent happy and sad moments, but the important thing is that we are always together supporting each other.
Mazal Tov to Galit and all his family!
