With great joy and enthusiasm we celebrated Simchat Torah by dancing, demonstrating our devotion to our sacred text and celebrating that we have finished reading it and started reading it again.
On Wednesday morning, September 29, in addition to the dance, we followed our tradition of completely opening the Torah scroll . Afterwards we proceeded to read the last passages of the Torah and the beginning, again.
This year’s honors went to Liam Dietez, as Chatan Torah, and Taly Waintraub and Luíza Artel as Calot Bereshit. This honor was given to these three young people who are leaving on a trip to continue their studies in Israel.
Finally, we shared a festive kidush in the Sukkah.
