Last Tuesday, June 8, Rabbi Gustavo started the mini-course Introduction to the Torah, a contemporary view.
The objective of this first class was to analyze the concept of Torah Min Hashamaim, the divine Torah , which is an important pillar in Jewish, Talmudic and medieval thought, in which is reflected the idea that the Torah is sacred, comes from God and is therefore perfect. From this premise arises the need to harmonize the contradictions and solve any problem arising from the text.
In the following four classes we will use the contemporary view to question this statement and read the Torah without the glasses with which tradition has usually interpreted it.
