On May 19, the Universidad Santa María La Antigua (USMA) presented Ambassador Reda Mansour with a recognition and medal of the Patron Saint of Panama, Santa María La Antigua, for the inspiration and commitment shown at the head of his diplomatic mission, in favor of strengthening relations of cooperation and friendship between Israel and Panama.
The ambassador said he was proud to receive the award, “because working for peace and development is the soul of democracy, and inspiring people to change the realities of their lives is the way to do it”.
Present at the ceremony were the Apostolic Nuncio, H.E.R. Luciano Russo; Rector Francisco Blanco; Rabbi Gustavo Kraselnik; Alan Perelis, president of the Panamanian Jewish Congress; David Hanono, distinguished member of the Jewish community and high authorities of the USMA.
