The mini-course “Five questions about tefillah (prayers)” has begun.

Last Tuesday, April 27, 2021, began a new course of our virtual program, Bidud Beyachad, called Five questions about tefillah (prayers), co-directed by Rabbi Gustavo and the chazanit Nurit.

The first class of five meetings that will be held every Tuesday, was designed to answer the question “why do we pray” and talk about the origins of prayer, the system of animal and vegetable offerings that during the time of the Bible and the temples was the way to communicate with the divine, about the use of formulas to accompany the offerings and how this laid the foundation for the later development of prayer.

Morah Nurit, on the other hand, concentrated on explaining the Shema Israel, the paragraphs that compose it, its meaning and what is contained in this proclamation of faith.

The second class of this mini-course will be held next Tuesday, May 4, 2021. We look forward to seeing you.
