Professional team

Nurit Meresman-Azoulay is the Jazanit of Congregation Kol Shearith Israel since February 2003.

It was formed as a morá y chazanit at the Higher Institute of Education and Judaic Studies Abarbanel from the Latin American Rabbinical Seminary, from where he graduated in 2000. That same year he also obtained his degree in psychology from the University of Buenos Aires.

Like jazanit or cantora at Kol Shearith his main role is to lead the prayers during religious services, making people connect and feel the prayers through the melodies and intonation. Nurit also prepares young people for Bar y Bat Mitzvah and to read Torah. He is the main driving force behind the Coro Kol Haneshamah of which she is its liturgical coordinator, in charge of selecting the pieces to be sung.

As an educator by profession, since 2003 she has also served as a morá morá at the Isaac Rabin School, where she teaches Hebrew and Judaism to preschool and elementary school children.

His passion is music and singing and, together with other jazanimhas participated in multiple recitals in several Latin American countries.
