KSI Sisterhood
The KSI Sisterhood was founded in 1932 under the leadership of Inez B. Fidanque, who served as its first president. Since then, almost 90 years have passed during which this group of women of the congregation has been in charge of countless projects inside and outside the congregation.
The Sisterhood works throughout the year on multiple tzedakah projects. tzedakah. Among the most long-standing are the traditional lunches for the blind of the Salvation Armyas well as the awarding of the Esther Maduro Delvalle scholarship to nursing students.
Another of the Brotherhood’s initiatives is the Jalot Project. Khalot Projectthrough which weekly challahs are prepared. chalot in the kitchen of the community center, to be delivered at home.
