Happy Breakfasts

Since 2015, Kol Shearith Israel monthly donates 1,000 liters of UHT whole milk to the Desayunos Felices program of Banco de Alimentos Panamá. These represent 6,000 glasses of milk that are part of the breakfast of 200 children in vulnerable situations.

Banco de Alimentos Panama is a non-profit organization that seeks to mitigate hunger in our country by providing professional, honest and transparent food assistance to the most vulnerable sectors through the rescue, inspection and selection of consumable, non-marketable food that would otherwise be discarded.

There are two ways to support this important program: bring liters of UHT milk each time you visit our community center and/or make monetary donations to the fund, which is used to purchase the liters of milk needed to reach the monthly goal.

We are pleased to report that as of October 2021, we have already donated 80,000 liters of milk to this program.
