<\/a><\/div>\n<\/p>\nLast Tuesday, July 6, the KSI community gathered virtually to participate in the fifth and last class of the mini-course Introduction to the Torah, a contemporary look.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
On this occasion, the geography of the places mentioned was discussed, which are important reference cities for both the northern kingdom – the kingdom of Israel – and the southern kingdom – the kingdom of Judah.<\/p>\n
Then, to answer all the questions that had arisen throughout the course regarding contradictions, changes in the name of God, among others, the main theory in the study of biblical criticism was presented: the hypothesis of the documents, which states that there are four independent sources that were edited together to format the text that we have.<\/p>\n
Subsequently the question remained that, assuming that hypothesis, which is recognized by the entire academic world, where does the sanctity of the Torah as our holy book lie. We affirm that its sanctity lies in the importance that the Jewish people have given it over the last 1,500 years and that, as long as it continues to be a source of inspiration, it will remain a sacred text.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
